The tricycle of 3-year old Shinichi Tetsutani. Hiroshima, August 6 1945. WW2 anti tank ditch in full effect, flooded by the rain of the past winter. This German defence measurement near Assen was dug by forced labourers at the end of the war, but was never used. Being present in a national park, it can still be seen today. Melted Buddha, found 500 meters from the hypocenter of the Hiroshima atomic bomb. Within this area, temperatures rose to 3,000 or even 4,000 Celsius, in which only silent witnesses would remain. Text book example of a “keyhole shaped” foxhole. Field example of the final German defence in the Arnhem vicinity in April 1945, which can be linked to the I./Grenadier-Regiment 858.
